My Drive to Paint

There’s something about creating that always feel personal. My art isn’t just about form or color - it’s a process of discovery. Each piece begins as a quiet feeling, a spark of imagery I don’t fully understand until I start working through it. And sometimes, I finish a painting still unsure why it matters so much - only it does.

Lately, I’ve been thinking more about the stories that shape us. Not just the big, dramatic ones, but the fleeting moments, seemingly permanent small memories, the way light fell on the floor that morning. I try to capture those in my work with more attention. It’s my way of holding onto something that might otherwise pass unnoticed.

I know everyone brings their own lens to what they see. That’s the beauty of it. My hope is that something in my art meets you where you are - even if I never know how or why.
